Karaoke music: how to perform the best song
Karaoke music: When singing karaoke, how you perform is just as important as how well you sing. Yes, you want to try to get most of the words right and you want to try to sound a bit like the original artist. Much more important than those things though is how into the act you get.
You want to pick a song you know well. There is a song you are likely humming to yourself frequently that you could sing all the words to without even thinking. That is the song you will want to do for karaoke, because as soon as you get up in front of everyone you'll likely forget all the words at first and quite possibly how to read. So, picking a song you know by heart can only help you when the time comes to actually perform.
Next you will want to be sure to hit the notes as best you can. Timing and tune are important. By saying the right words at the right time you'll at least be on the right track. If you happen to get lost on the song at some point, do your best to get back on track with the music. If you are totally lost....improvise. Sing something that makes sense until you can get back on track. If you stand there mute it won't get any better. You will become more embarrassed with each passing second and forget that the words are right in front of you.
The most important part of karaoke has nothing what so ever to do with singing ability. It is all about the performance. Get into the song. Sing with your body and mind as well as your mouth. Let the music flow through you. Dance in time to the music. Let everyone know how much fun you are having singing your karaoke song. This will help you forget you are in front of a large group of people. The more excited you get about the song you are singing, the more excited the audience will become. If you dance and get into the song, they will likely not even realize if you are a tad off beat or not in tune. Karaoke is all about the show and the performance you put on, not how great of a singer you are. Have as much fun with your song as you can. The more fun you have, the more fun the audience will have..
