The Coolest Denny's is in Ferndale, Washington

Dennys restaurant: If you are a traveler like me, chances are you've been to many Denny's restaurants over the years. They're often accessible to hotels and airports, and they're usually a known brand. Even as a known brand, though, they can vary a great deal from store to store. I've been to Denny's that look like 50's diners, that have an upscale suburban feel, and even one in Nevada tricked out all in chrome. Out of all the Denny's restaurants I've visited over the years, though, my hands down favorite is easily the Denny's in Ferndale, WA, where I am a regular customer. Definitions of cool vary from person to person. When it comes to restaurants, for me cool means good, consistent, friendly service. In that, the Ferndale Denny's excels. If you've been there more than twice, the waitstaff likely remembers you. If you've eaten there more than three or four times, the managers likely remember you. For me, that is the height of restaurant coolness. I'm the kind of person who likes consistency in life. It's why I visit restaurant brands I'm familiar with. At Ferndale Denny's, you get consistency. Unlike many restaurants I've visited, the waitstaff has very little turnover. It's an unusual occurrence to see a new face waiting on you. Denny's in general is good at keeping the old favorites available while still providing variety with their changing specials. No matter if it's one of the favorites or one of the specials, the food at Ferndale Denny's is always excellent. We went to eat there on Free Grand Slam Day this year. I was amazed at the number of people in line. But the waitstaff and managers kept everything moving like a finely oiled machine. Wait times for a table were minimal, food came promptly, and everything was at it's usual excellence. Even though tired by the time we got there, the staff's usual good humor was readily apparent. The Ferndale Denny's is exactly what it seems to be. It's a diner in a small town, providing service to locals and those passing through. If you live in northern Whatcom County or you are traveling through going to or from Vancouver, BC, stop by the Ferndale Denny's. Have a nice break from the freeway for a bit and enjoy some of the best hospitality and service in the area. You just can't get cooler than that..
